Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Clovis East Timberwolves
Having just played yesterday, the Campolindo Cougars will jump right back in to play the Clovis East Timberwolves at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Campolindo comes in on seven and Clovis East on four.
Campolindo has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 59-32 stomp they got on the road against Downey. Given Campolindo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Downey is ranked 764th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dylan Mansour, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Rendle, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, even though Edison scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, Clovis East still came out on top. Clovis East wrapped up 2023 with a 73-58 win over Edison.
Campolindo's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Clovis East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
