After each having a week off, the King's Ridge Christian Tigers and the North Cobb Christian Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, King's Ridge Christian put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They blew past Business Engineering Science Tech, posting a 45-16 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Austin Drye was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and four TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Drye was just one part of a punishing run game: King's Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Business Engineering Science Tech only rushed for 113.

Meanwhile, North Cobb Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-35 heartbreaker at the hands of Union County.

King's Ridge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for North Cobb Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. King's Ridge Christian has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 237.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like North Cobb Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 176.3 rushing yards.
