Basketball Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack

The Effingham County Rebels will head out to challenge the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Effingham County didn't have quite enough to beat Lakeside and fell 44-41. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier came up short against Evans on Friday and fell 64-57. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wolfpack came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Knights are ranked 356th).

Effingham County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Greenbrier, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Things could have been worse for Effingham County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-63 loss to Greenbrier when the teams last played on Wednesday. Can Effingham County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
