Rantoul's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Danville Vikings get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Rantoul is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
