Good Hope and Dora are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Raiders will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Good Hope will be strutting in after a win while Dora will be coming in after a defeat.

While Good Hope's victory against Fayette County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 24-22. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since September 6, 2024.

A big part of Good Hope's win came down to the chemistry between Parker Johnson and his top target Carter Rutherford. Johnson threw for 125 yards and one TD on only 11 passes while Rutherford picked up 107 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Good Hope didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fayette County to a completion percentage of just 28.6%. The Raiders weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.6%.

Meanwhile, Dora came up short against Curry on Friday and fell 31-21.

Good Hope's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.2 points on average over those games. As for Dora, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Good Hope strolled past Dora in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 47-28. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bulldogs' Jayden Griffin, who rushed for 229 yards and three scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Raiders to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
