Basketball Game Preview: Arcanum Trojans vs. Preble Shawnee Arrows

The Arcanum Trojans will square off against the Preble Shawnee Arrows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcanum is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.

Preble Shawnee is hoping to do what Ansonia couldn't on Friday: put an end to Arcanum's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Arcanum really took it to Ansonia for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-22 victory. The Trojans pushed the score to 41-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had no chance of recovering from.

Arcanum got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Ball out in front who posted four points and 16 rebounds. Ball has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Mccans, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Preble Shawnee came up short against Dayton Christian on Tuesday and fell 59-49.

Preble Shawnee now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Arcanum, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Arcanum was dealt a bruising 67-23 loss at the hands of Preble Shawnee when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Arcanum was down 42-8.
