Basketball Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

After flying high against Holton last Friday, Shelby came back down to earth. The Shelby Tigers were outmatched by the North Muskegon Norsemen and fell 74-30. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Norsemen recently, as the team's come up short the last nine times they've met.

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for North Muskegon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelby will face off against Mason County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelby is facing Mason County Central at the right time seeing as Mason County Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Muskegon, they will challenge Holton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in North Muskegon's favor as the squad sits on 18 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Holton has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
