Basketball Recap: Bridgewater/Emery Huskies vs. Wall Eagles
Bridgewater/Emery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a hard 67-49 fall against the Wall Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-49 last Sunday.
Faith Frink had a dynamite game for Wall, dropping a double-double with 32 points and 15 rebounds. Frink continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. Allie Kjerstad was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and three steals.
Bridgewater/Emery's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Wall, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Looking ahead, Bridgewater/Emery will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Irene/Wakonda at 6:30 p.m. Bridgewater/Emery is facing Irene/Wakonda at the right time seeing as Irene/Wakonda is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wall, they will face off against Belle Fourche at 6:30 p.m. on February 21st.
