Soccer Recap: Pine Tree Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pine Tree and Palestine squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pine Tree had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. If Pine Tree were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Palestine when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pine Tree has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Palestine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5-1 record this season.

Pine Tree does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palestine, they will face off against Lindale on Monday. Lindale will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Palestine surely won't give up without a fight.
