Football Recap: Garner Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

Garner dropped to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 34-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clayton Comets. The Trojans were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Even if they lost, Garner's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Derek Taylor, Tyquan Richardson, and Raheem Ross, who each picked up one sack apiece. Garner got some further help from Jeremiah Wilson: he made 20 total tackles.

As for Clayton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.7 points on average over those games.

Clayton had a senior duo take command as Aiden Smalls rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns and Noah Smith rushed for 130 yards and one score on only 13 carries.
