Oak Ridge took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Woodland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Jays had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-2. For the Blue Jays, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Kaelyn Deckerd paced Oak Ridge's offense, picking up 17 kills. Deckerd got some help from Kenadie Ward and her 36 assists. Olivia Schaper and Zoey Lohmann kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

The victory got Oak Ridge back to even at 1-1. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Leopold on the 3rd. As for Woodland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Zalma on the 4th.
