Basketball Recap: Music Mountain Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Music Mountain's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mogollon Mustangs 77-49. With the Warriors ahead 42-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Music Mountain was led to victory by Micah Quasula and Lonewolf Havatone. Quasula went 11 for 19 on his way to 27 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Havatone dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Quasula is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyren Havatone, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Music Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Mogollon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eric Starks, who put up 11 points and three steals. Quinn Tenney was another key player, putting up five points and nine rebounds.

Music Mountain's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Mogollon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Music Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-38 loss against Empire on the 2nd. As for Mogollon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-34 defeat against Thatcher on the 2nd.
