It's playoff time, and Tygarts Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Pocahontas County Warriors 16-9 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Kailen Yokum was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Emily Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

Tygarts Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Tygarts Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Pocahontas County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Tygarts Valley nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
