Key West had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Palmer Trinity on Friday. Key West was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Palmer Trinity. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Conchs considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Key West got a great performance from Brianna Brenner as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Brenner has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Vera Rodger was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
Key West's record is now 6-4. As for Palmer Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
