Softball Game Preview: Exeter Tigers vs. Crane Pirates

The Exeter Tigers will head out to face off against the Crane Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Exeter faced off against Verona on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Crane sidestepped Billings for a 10-9 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Crane's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Exeter, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Exeter suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Crane when the teams last played back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
