Football Game Preview: Deer Valley Skyhawks vs. Youngker Roughriders + How To Watch

The Deer Valley Skyhawks will challenge the Youngker Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for Deer Valley after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 27-20 to Buckeye. The defeat continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Loss or not, Deer Valley got some senior leadership from Adan Sanchez and Brody Keith. Sanchez rushed for 127 yards and one score, while Keith gained 76 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Youngker, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 26-22 W over Prescott on Friday.

Deer Valley's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Youngker, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything went Deer Valley's way against Youngker in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, as Deer Valley made off with a 40-20 win. Do the Skyhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roughriders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
