Softball Recap: Lunenburg Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lunenburg Central hadn't done well against Randolph-Henry recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chargers put the hurt on the Statesmen with a sharp 9-2 victory. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Lunenburg Central's third in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Randolph-Henry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.56 runs per game on average), something the Statesmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
