Football Recap: Fort Bend Austin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fort Bend Austin extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-8. They were beaten by the Ridge Point Panthers 70-22. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-9.

Fort Bend Austin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Dixon, who picked up 167 receiving yards and one score. Koen Herrmann was another key player, having thrown for 328 yards and two touchdowns.

As for Ridge Point, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.7 points on average this season.

Brody Bartee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 279 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Akins, who rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Fort Bend Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridge Point, they have already played their next contest, a 21-16 victory against Dawson on the 13th.
