Baseball Recap: Iroquois West Has No Trouble Against Schlarman

While Iroquois West put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Schlarman. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Hilltoppers. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 victory the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Rylan Pheifer was incredible, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Iroquois West's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Lane McCann, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win snapped Iroquois West's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-9 record. As for Schlarman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Iroquois West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against Armstrong on the 2nd. As for Schlarman, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-4 defeat against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman on the 30th.
