Baseball Recap: Coudersport Has No Trouble Against Oswayo Valley

Coudersport never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Oswayo Valley Green Wave 11-0. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Danny VanVladricken made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Mitchell Taylor was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Quinn Kratzer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Coudersport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The Falcons are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oswayo Valley, they will take on Youngsville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
