Football Game Preview: Haldane Blue Devils vs. Edgemont Panthers

The Haldane Blue Devils will square off against the Edgemont Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Haldane will be strutting in after a victory while Edgemont will be coming in after a defeat.

Haldane had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Rye Neck on Saturday. The Blue Devils blew past the Panthers, posting a 40-6 win. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Edgemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Tuckahoe 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Tigers are ranked 151st).

Edgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Haldane, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
