Football Game Preview: Munster Mustangs vs. Hammond Central Wolves

After each having a week off, the Munster Mustangs and the Hammond Central Wolves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammond Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Munster, who comes in off a win.

Munster was handed a 35-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Friday. They had just enough and edged out Kankakee Valley 17-14.

Meanwhile, Hammond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Hanover Central, falling 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Wildcats are ranked 114th).

Hammond Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Munster, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Munster took their win against Hammond Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 by a conclusive 23-0 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
