On Tuesday Ballard's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Marshall Trojans, sneaking past 4-2.

Ballard's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Marshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Ballard will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Boone at 5:00 p.m. The Toreadors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bombers surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Marshall, they will head out on the road to challenge Saydel at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
