Volleyball Recap: Jordany Rodriguez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wilkes-Barre over Chambersburg

Wilkes-Barre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chambersburg Trojans.

Wilkes-Barre's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordany Rodriguez, who had eight digs, six kills, and one block. Tijan Njai was another key player, getting seven assists and five digs.

Wilkes-Barre's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Chambersburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Wilkes-Barre will be playing in front of their home fans against Hazleton Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chambersburg, they will head out to challenge State College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
