Recap: Butler Bulldogs vs. Grovetown Warriors
The Butler Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Grovetown Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Butler came out on top against Grovetown by a score of 39-28. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Butler has scored all year.
It was another big night for Brayla Harris, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Butler's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Gresham, who scored two points along with five rebounds.
Grovetown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rebecca Jones, who scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season.
Butler has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Grovetown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Butler is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Lakeside at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Grovetown and Burke County will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Burke County is ranked 368th, while Grovetown is ranked 356th).
