Volleyball Recap: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. Woodson Cavaliers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Springfield, Lake Braddock was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Woodson Cavaliers 3-0. For the Bruins, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 defeat the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Braddock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yana Jensen, who had 11 digs and two aces. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Jensen now had 11 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Norell Rivera Miranda was another key player, getting four aces.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bridget Morgan, who had eight digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Livia Lee, who had eight digs.

Lake Braddock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Woodson, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
