Palmer had won two straight home games and Taytum Soppe-Cope did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Terrors put the hurt on the Widefield Gladiators with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Soppe-Cope, who had 11 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Palmer's got stronger as the match went on, holding Widefield to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Widefield still got an impressive performance from Janae Johnson, who had five digs and four aces.

Palmer's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Widefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Palmer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Canon City on the 9th. As for Widefield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Mesa Ridge on the 9th.
