Jersey Shore has gone 8-2 against Shamokin Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Jersey Shore will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Monday, it was close, but Jersey Shore sidestepped South Williamsport for a 3-2 win. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

Landyn Rhea tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

On the hitting side, Jersey Shore's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Rhinehart, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Shamokin Area fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Selinsgrove on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Seals by a score of 6-5.

Jersey Shore's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Shamokin Area, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Jersey Shore beat Shamokin Area 5-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
