There's no place like home for Northwest Halifax, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Southeast Halifax Trojans with a sharp 46-24 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won seven in a row.

It was another big night for Keyara Rook, who posted 30 points. Northwest Halifax is 2-1 when Rook posts 25 or more points, but 5-9 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Southeast Halifax saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alarrah Powell scored 13 points. Powell continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Iyana Harrison, who earned three points and six blocks.

Northwest Halifax's record now sits at 7-10. As for Southeast Halifax, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Northwest Halifax wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-55 win against North Edgecombe on the 7th. As for Southeast Halifax, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-23 loss against Northampton County on the 7th.
