Football Recap: Norristown Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Norristown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 38-26 to the Penn Wood Patriots on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Norristown had strong showings from Nasir Minor, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score, and Aj Caranrd, who picked up 70 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Nasir Serrano looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 69 yards and five TDs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norristown is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Phoenixville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penn Wood, they will square off against Avon Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
