Basketball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Takes a Loss

If Perkiomen Valley was feeling good fresh off their 54-27 takedown of Phoenixville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring-Ford Rams on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Perkiomen Valley's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Spring-Ford, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Perkiomen Valley and Spring-Ford should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Vikings will square off against Norristown at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (71 vs. 398). Meanwhile, Spring-Ford (ranked sixth) will meet Methacton (ranked 149th) at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
