After flying high against Notus on Monday, Wilder came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Compass Charter Aviators on Tuesday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wilder started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-18, 27-25, 25-18.

Wilder lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Natalie Escutia, who had 27 digs, ten kills, and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nancy Ramirez, who had 12 digs and two aces.
