Volleyball Recap: La Vernia Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

La Vernia entered their tilt with Antonian Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Apaches. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

La Vernia wouldn't go down easily and took Antonian Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 15-9.

Karis Carpenter had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and five assists. Adyson Dye also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

La Vernia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

La Vernia's record now sits at 15-5. As for Antonian Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

La Vernia will take on Hendrickson at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Antonian Prep, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Clemens at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
