Basketball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

Cassville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 52-37 bruising from the East Newton Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Patriots are ranked 181st).

Cassville's record is now 4-15. As for East Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Cassville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-51 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 14th. As for East Newton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-59 loss against Nevada on the 14th.
