Basketball Recap: Valley Springs Takes a Loss

Valley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yellville-Summit Panthers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Valley Springs' record now sits at 4-13. As for Yellville-Summit, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4.

Valley Springs has already played their next game, a 66-50 loss against Norwood on the 21st. As for Yellville-Summit, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
