Football Recap: Platte Canyon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Platte Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Englewood Pirates. The Huskies lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-6 score last time.

Logan Mael was his usual excellent self, rushing for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Englewood. Those 171 rushing yards gave Mael a new career-high.

Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Englewood, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

As of now, neither Platte Canyon nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
