Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Temple City's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Temple City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the San Marino Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

While Temple City had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Ryan Lee, who had 17 digs and one assist. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.

Temple City's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for San Marino, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

Temple City and San Marino should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Rams will take on Monrovia at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (71 vs. 258). Meanwhile, San Marino (ranked 77th) will meet South Pasadena (ranked 273rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
