Colonial Christian suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: Colonial Christian Cougars vs. Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers

This season hasn't been kind to the Colonial Christian Cougars, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were outmatched by Crosspointe Christian Academy on the road and fell 71-31. Colonial Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crosspointe Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Neby Yewubneh, who scored 16 points along with nine steals. The contest was Yewubneh's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Quinton Ford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Colonial Christian bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Colonial Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Calvary Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colonial Christian in Indiana (Calvary Christian is ranked 142nd, while Colonial Christian is ranked 403rd). Crosspointe Christian Academy will take on Indianapolis Northwest W in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on December 21st at.
