Softball Recap: West Stokes Wins Going Away Against Morehead

It was a proper cat-fight when West Stokes faced off against Morehead on Wednesday. The Wildcats blew past the Panthers 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

West Stokes is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Morehead, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Coming up, West Stokes will welcome South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Morehead, they will venture away from home to challenge Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
