Baseball Recap: Biggsville West Central Comes Up Short

Biggsville West Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Orion Chargers, falling 12-4.

Colton Spence made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Kaleb Thompson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Biggsville West Central's record now sits at 2-10. As for Orion, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Biggsville West Central will be playing in front of their home fans against West Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Heat are facing the Cyclones at the right time seeing as the Cyclones are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Orion, they will challenge Monmouth-Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
