Basketball Recap: Washington Piles Up the Points Against North Forest

Washington entered their tilt with North Forest on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the North Forest Bulldogs to the tune of 100-35. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 43 points or more this season.

Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert Jones led the charge by going 8 of 12 en route to 19 points and five steals. Jones' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Dixon, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points.

Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for North Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Washington and Yates will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. North Forest will take on Furr in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
