Baseball Recap: Central Pointe Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Central Pointe Christian Academy was the 5-1 winner over IMG Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The CPCA came up short against the Ascenders on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The CPCA have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central Pointe Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for IMG Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Coming up, IMG Academy will host Inspiration Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ascenders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. Central Pointe Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to IMG Academy's game: after IMG Academy faces off against Sunshine State Elite Academy, they'll take on Central Pointe Christian Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
