Softball Recap: Southeastern RVT Hawks vs. Westport Wildcats
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Southeastern RVT ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Westport Wildcats by a score of 6-2. Six seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Becca Hornung was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.
Hornung wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Precourt, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That run marked the first that Precourt scored this season.
