Baseball Recap: Enka Triumphs

Enka's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Draughn Wildcats.

Mason Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Landen Morrow was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Enka hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Enka's record is now 5-10. As for Draughn, they moved to 11-6 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Enka will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
