Connellsville waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the South Park Eagles by a score of 8-3.

Jett Dunaway tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Sankovich, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Matthew Firestone, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Connellsville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Park, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

As of now, neither Connellsville nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
