Leon is a perfect 6-0 against Oakwood since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Leon has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Leon took on Lovelady on Monday. The Cougars lost 16-1 to the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 1st.

Meanwhile, Oakwood came up short against Normangee on Tuesday, falling 18-7.

Abbie Hamill was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Emma Neel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Oakwood dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Everything went Leon's way against Oakwood in their previous meeting back in March, as Leon made off with a 19-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
