Basketball Recap: Brentwood Christian Snags 16th Victory in Last 18 Games

Brentwood Christian extended their postseason success on Saturday against Trinity Christian. They strolled past the Trinity Christian Lions with points to spare, taking the game 62-44. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Lions are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trinity Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucai Anderson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jet Naegele, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Brentwood Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 23-14.

Coming up, Brentwood Christian will face off against Grace Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Grace Prep comes in on four and Brentwood Christian on 13. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
