Basketball Recap: Fairview Piles Up the Points Against Brewer

There's no place like home for Fairview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They breezed by the Brewer Patriots to the tune of 63-30 on Monday. With the Aggies ahead 37-17 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Despite the loss, Brewer saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hannah Morrison posted eight points and five rebounds. Aleigha Malin also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Brewer, they dropped their record down to 2-21 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview and Hayden will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Fairview is facing Hayden at the right time seeing as Hayden is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Brewer, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kate Duncan Smith DAR at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
