Basketball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 53-8 defeat at the hands of the Churchill County Greenwave. The match marked the Dust Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dayton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emily Carter, who posted three points. Those three points gave Carter a new career-high.

Churchill County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amillya Bishop, who earned ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Raegan Johnson, who put up nine points and five rebounds.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Churchill County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Dayton will host Fernley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Churchill County, they will head out on the road to square off against Sage Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
