Basketball Recap: St. John XXIII Comes Up Short

St. John XXIII was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the St. Thomas Catholic Eagles 68-24. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 969th, while the Eagles are ranked 432nd).

St. John XXIII's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for St. Thomas Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season.

As of now, neither St. John XXIII nor St. Thomas Catholic have any future games scheduled.
